Chapter Seven

STORMY

His huge erection pressing against my ass for the last two hours has turned me into an overheated mess. My inner slut is ready for me to jump his hot ass. Too bad, the real virgin in me doesn’t even know where to start. We’ve been fooling around in our dreams, but I’m not sure what to do with the flesh and blood man.

As we make our way out of the crowded arena, I convince myself to stop running. It’s time to put an end to our suffering and let my hungry wolf catch me. Last night, I finally acknowledged that he owns me, heart and soul. The chase has gotten old and I’m ready to see where this will lead.

“Traffic is at a standstill.” He holds my hand tightly as we walk across the packed sidewalk. “It will take us hours to get out.” I glance at him, wondering where this is leading. “I rented a room to get us close parking.” Bingo. The light goes off over my head. “We could spend the night there and miss all the traffic trauma.”

Taking a deep breath, I jump in with both feet. “That sounds great.” I glance up and see the shock shining in his dark brown eyes. “I’ve always wanted to try out the Celestial Falls Hotel.” The cost of staying here would cause my wallet to cry.

The doorman checks identification at the door to keep rowdy concert-goers out. After we get past him, Marcus leads me to the bank of old-fashioned elevators lining the back wall. When it arrives, he sticks the key card in the slot, and we start moving. I watch all the numbers fly past until we stop on the top floor. “Wow.” I gasp as we step off outside the penthouse. “You really went overboard.” Marcus’ key card opens the heavy double doors, and he leads me into the gorgeous suite. As I glance around, I suddenly feel totally unprepared. This shifter is way out of my league. Turning to him, I bite my lip. “Uh. This is overwhelming.” That’s an understatement.

He reaches for my hand and brings it to his lips. After placing a light kiss on the back of my knuckles, he smiles at me. “You set the pace.” Marcus runs his tongue along his bottom lip. “I’ll do whatever it takes to convince you to give me a chance.” My heart beats out of control as he continues. “I’m one lucky fucker to have such a stunning mate. I must have done something terrific in the past for the Fates to bring you to me.”

At that moment, he steals my heart and soul. I’m his for eternity. “Maybe I was the one who got lucky?” I wrap my arms around his waist and lean up to place a soft kiss on his chin. “Please kiss me.”

His growl fills the room before his lips cover mine. As our tongues tangle, I run my hands over his strong back muscles and pull his dress shirt free from his pants.
